Come see the new Brightwater Center for an Earth Day wetland restoration event. With your help, we can keep our restored wetland area healthy! We will be pulling out invasive species and planting native species in our wetland areas. Other activities including art and nature activities will be available for the whole family throughout the day, so bring a lunch and be prepared to get wet.
Date: April 21st
Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
To register for the restoration project (all ages welcome), email Kristin Covey at kristin.covey@kingcounty.gov. Please be prepared to get wet and a bit muddy (rubber boots are recommended)!
Treatment Plant Tours will also be available at 10 a.m. and noon. For directions and to register for Treatment Plant Tours (ages 9 and up only), please visit Brightwater’s Events page: http://www.kingcounty.gov/environment/brightwater-center/events.aspx.
